USCF membership is required and must be active.
Regular rating will be used for pairings and prize purposes only.

Location: 112 West Montgomery Ave, Rockville, MD 20850
Format: Double-round Swiss System
Each player will face the same opponent twice: once as White and once as Black.
Time Control: G/5;+3

The number of prizes is based on 50 fully paid entries.

ℹ️ Important Information
No-refund deadline: Once the first round is paired or begins, no refunds or credit will be issued.
No-shows forfeit their entry fees entirely.
On-site registration may receive an automatic Round 1 bye or nonstandard pairings.
A first-round forfeit will result in withdrawal from the tournament unless you notify the TD in advance.
Chess sets will be provided for all players, but clocks may be limited. Please bring your own chess clock if available.
♟️ Byes
Players may request up to two half-point byes. All byes must be committed to before the start of Round 1.
🏅 Participant Limit
Registration is limited to 50 players total.

🚗 Equipment & Parking
All necessary chess sets, boards, and clocks will be provided.
If you have your own chess clock, please bring it.
Free parking is available behind the church.
📱 Electronic Device Policy
If an electronic device is turned on or makes a noise: the player will forfeit the game.
If an electronic device is found turned off:
First violation: 2-minute time penalty, not exceeding half of the remaining time on the clock for the current time control
Second violation: Forfeiture of the game
